Abstract

More and more of our animals’ records are being recorded in electronic records systems. It is now possible to do large-scale diet analysis across a collection, pull out trends, and do large-scale data projects than ever before. As zoo nutritionists, we sit on a treasure-trove of data about our animals’ diets, food intake, body weight, and blood values that can be leveraged to unlock important information about the impact of diets on health.
