Abstract
The purpose of the Animal Welfare Inspection Guide is to provide an aid for
APHIS Animal Care personnel when inspecting USDA licensed and registered
facilities.
The Inspection Guide is not a regulation and does not rise to the level of policy.
It serves as a tool to improve the quality and uniformity of inspections,
documentation, and enforcement of the Animal Care Program.
