Sunday September 29, 2019 Workshop: Nutritional Welfare Considerations for Zoos and Aquariums
The Association of Zoos and Aquariums has recently emphasized animal welfare considerations as part of their accreditation process. For many facilities, this just offers an opportunity to formally share practices and approaches that have been ongoing for years, if not decades. For others, it is an opportunity to develop, describe, and formalize practices to enhance the welfare of animals in their care. This workshop will help us all to discover, develop, and define aspects of nutritional welfare beneficial to our animals. [More details to come]
