San Diego: Exotic Animal Nutrition Fellowship

San Diego Zoo Global’s Department of Nutritional Services will again be offering a student fellowship in Exotic Animal Nutrition in 2018.  This is a rare opportunity for a student to find out if they would like to pursue a career in comparative nutrition by working at two unique facilities, San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park.

Note the deadline for submissions is February 28, 2018 at 9:30 pm (PST).  The fellowship is now a six-month opportunity due to the generosity of the Gilbert Martin Foundation, and applicants must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Candidates must be enrolled in or have a degree in animal science, biology, nutrition, wildlife science, or a related field and have completed an introductory animal nutrition class. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent writing and quantitative abilities, plus a passion for the natural world and a desire to conserve it.
